esoteric folk art on Tacoma hilltop.
Fulcrum art gallery on MLK (next to Tacoma Tofu) is highlighting a bright spot in Tacoma: artist Sean Alexander.
A lovely combination of 2 of our favorite things: Sean and the Fulcrum Gallery.
PS/ mucho sadness that Sean is moving to NY but wishing him joy and prosperity.

Makeda in Paris
So, Im in Paris and I must first tell you that if there are any typos its because im using a french computer… eck! So confusing. Now, that aside, Ive been slightly disapointed that the weather has been so fowl since Ive been here. As well Ive discovered that most french people leave Paris in the summer. So over my time here Ive been taking photos here and there and I now give you Makeda:

Spotlighting one of my Favorite Blogs:
Fatale-Femmes is one of my top 10 for sure because the content is extremely intriguing beyond the obvious Lolita-esque aesthetic that almost comes off more along the lines of the Larry Clark film Kids. After delving deep into the content of each photo I can see so much more beyond the layers and layers of angst-y rebellion. These are smart girls who are very artistic and communicating a clear and very interesting perspective, that undoubtedly is their own.
Here are a few pictures from their blog:

I can’t seem to get over summer even though everyone else seems to be looking to the next season. I guess I feel a little gypped since we didn’t really get a proper summer except for thepast few days, and so I feel the need to prolong it. I mean obviously it’s still summer, but the end of it is fast approaching. Who knows, we’ve been seeing some nice days maybe there’s a summer resurgence ahead!

If you missed the eclectic and sweet folk sound of Pinapple Explode when they were here last week, you get another chance to hear it at Wednesday’s show (07/07) with Chappo, Bird By Snow and Us on Roofs.
